The Original Ughandi B Water Project

The original project acheived it's aim of establishing a water supply to Ughandi B and you can read about the progress here.

Now the Ughandi B Water Project continues to help the people of the village with further projects.

Muhuvi School Pit Latrine Project Ughandi "B"

The latest project undertaking by Ughandi B Water Project will be the construction of twenty pit latrines at Muhuvi Primary School. Funding for this project has come from a private donor through 'Just a drop' charity and will cost £5.830. We have chosen HAPA a local NGO to carry out the work in partnership with local artisans and Ughandi B villagers.

Photos are of a recent visit to the school by HAPA and show village committee members, Muhuvi School's current pit latrines and one of the pumps installed by us in August 2008.

Muhuvi School has approximately 650 pupils.
